Thanks to Tracey Roberts for arranging a condolence book for HRH Queen Elizabeth II to be available at Chocolate Drops in Yanchep National Park. The book will be available for signing between 10.30am and 2.30pm until Sunday September 25th and between 9.30am and 4.30pm during the school holidays.
After the above dates the book will be sent to Buckingham Palace to be archived by the Commonwealth and may then be displayed at its national institutions.

Two Rocks Shoreline SWIMRUN 2019 Event
Tomorrow 3rd February is the Shoreline SWIMRUN event at Two Rocks, starting at 8:30am. This is a relatively new endurance event to Perth which focuses on experiencing nature and respecting yourself, your partners and fellow competitors.
Please support this event so it can continue well into the future.

Yanchep and Districts Country Women’s Association are holding a Friendship Day on Wednesday June 7th at the Phil Renkin Recreation Centre.
You are requested to arrive at 9:30am for a 10am start.
Entry fee is $15 which includes Morning Tea and a Light Lunch.

Yanchep Two Rocks Tourism Network are holding their very first Atlantis Music and Markets Festival this Sunday, 12th March from 3pm to 7pm at Two Rocks Shopping Centre, there will be something for everyone 🙂
The Tavern at The Rocks will also be hosting The Australian Santana Experience from 5.30 – 7.30pm
Come on down to the Yanchep Sports and Social Club on 12th February 2017 between 10am and 4pm for the Mind Body and Spirit Festival. Along with the Mind Body and Spirit activities will be the usual selection of stall holders from the Yanchep Monthly Markets.
This Thursday 8th December the Yanchep Community Centre is holding a Free Christmas Picnic Event from 9:30 – 11:30am.

City of Wanneroo decided to participate in this years Fund Our Future in order to gain Federal Funding for those infrastructure projects we need urgently in the City of Wanneroo, including better transport. The City of Wanneroo is one of the fastest growing Local Government Authorities in Australia.
If you would like to know more about why the CIty of Wanneroo chose to get involved they will be holding a ‘day of action’ this Tuesday 21 June at locations including:
· Shopping centres – Yanchep, Butler, Ocean Keys (permission currently being sought)
· Busy intersections (where safe to do so)
· Bus stops (along Wanneroo Road/Marmion Ave)
· Areas near the train stations (where approved)
· Libraries throughout the City of Wanneroo
· Leisure centres, such as Aquamotion/Kingsway (permission currently being sought)
They are also asking for volunteers to wear their Fund Our Future uniforms, and hand out bumper stickers/flyers/take signatures on iPads in strategic locations.
The City of Wanneroo will also have Fund Our Future banners in key locations along Marmion Ave; Wanneroo Road during the day- and have volunteers driving the Fund Our Future branded ute on Marmion Ave; Wanneroo Road; the Mitchell Freeway and Hester Ave in the afternoon.
You may have also seen the VMS signage promoting Fund Our Future at the Joondalup Drive/Wanneroo Road intersection.
There will be numerous photo and social media promotion opportunities on this day of action.
Your participation so far has been much appreciated and they would love it if some local residents would like to take part in this day of action in any way possible. You certainly don’t need to be available for the full day – any time or even suggestions that you could provide would be most appreciated.

7th June is National Nightmare Commute Day. Fund Our Future is asking the Australian Government to commit to fast-growing outer suburbs, City of Wanneroo being one of the fastest in Australia and THE fastest in Western Australia. We require better roads, public transport and health facilities.
Specifically on the 7th June they ask that you share your story about your commute to work that day. You can find out how on the facebook page for the event National Nightmare Commute Day.
